Yoga with Heidi

I like to teach a Power(ful) Vinyasa class where you will sweat, have a challenging workout, feel empowered, and be playful; all while still respecting and listening to your body, and most importantly being kind to yourself.

My Story

I was born and raised in South Africa. I relocated to Seattle 17 years ago with my family. Prior to our move, I worked as a high school PE and Social Studies teacher. Teaching people to be active and healthy is my passion. I have coached high school dance, field hockey, swim teams, and mom-and-toddler fitness classes. In the past, I used to engage in various exercises but would regularly sustain injuries due to my competitive nature and lack of body awareness. Consequently, I took a few months off to focus solely on yoga. After attending my first power class, I became addicted to the physically challenging and restorative nature of this practice.

I did my 200hr Teacher Training with Shakti Vinyasa (Baron Baptiste Inspired Vinyasa yoga), recognized by the worldwide Yoga Alliance in 2014.  I have since then added Yin Yoga and Myofascial release classes to my practice and teaching.

I am also a certified Girl Gone Strong  Women Coaching Specialist. (GSS-1).
